The largest plants in the world are the giant redwood trees of North America. Sequoias can grow up to 107 m (350 ft) or more in height and may be up to 7.5 m (26 ft) across. They can weight more than nine times as much as a blue whale, the heaviest animal that has ever lived.

Pencils aren’t as earth-friendly as we would like to think. In fact, parents might be shocked to find out that the yellow pencils they grew up using are made out of the 4 billion trees cut down worldwide for paper industries — which leads to deforestation and habitat loss.
They are also harmful because they are processed with toxic chemicals in factories which pollutes our air.

Die Künstlerin Matt Jones hat “Bertrand” erschaffen, einen Wal, kreiert aus Plastiktüten. Zu der Idee schreibt Sie:
We breathed life into Bertrand, but sadly, he didn’t take flight. He tragically insisted upon beaching himself, and we ended up putting him out of his misery.
The idea was for him to be a solar hot air balloon, the air inside heating up and lifting him. I’m confident the main problem is too much mass of plastic in the pectoral fins, and tapered tail relative to how much volume of air those areas hold.
