Der in der Innenstadt von Brüssel stehende “Talking Tree“, der uns per Social Media (Twitter und Facebook zum Beispiel) erklärt, wie er seine Umwelt wahrnimmt. Sehr, sehr clevere Arbeit
A 100 year old tree, living on the edge of Brussels, was hooked up to a fine dust meter, ozone meter, light meter, weatherstation, webcam and microphone. This equipment constantly measures the tree’s living circumstances. And translates this information into human language. Then, the tree lets the world know how he feels. Such near-infrared techniques used in photography give subjects an exotic, antique look. Green vegetation becomes white, whereas human skin becomes pale and ghostly.
