National Geographic hat eine sehr schöne National Park Poster Gallerie aus den 30er Jahren zusammengestellt. Sehr nostalgisch, aber schön!

Created in the mid-1930s in response to the Great Depression, the Works Progress Administration and its Federal Arts Project were focused in part on providing artwork for public buildings while assisting struggling artists. Artists were tasked with creating posters that promoted the landscapes and wildlife of America’s parks. The program ended in 1943, and the largest collection of WPA-era prints–including the selection in this gallery–is now in the Library of Congress.

“Lisa M” machte sich auf eine Orangutan-Foto-Tour in den Tanjung Puting National Park, den faszinierenden Regenwald von Borneo (Indonesien).

Tanjung Puting ist mit 400.000 Hektar ein Riesiges Gelände für die Natur, wo sich die mehr als 200 Vogelarten, die 17 Reptil – und vielen anderen Tierarten “frei entfalten” können. Mit einer Kamer hielt Lisa einige der Stationen fest …
